The North Branch of the Boardman is a Type 1 trout stream (all tackles, limit of 5) hosting native brookies and browns (and this population includes some larger “cannibals” that prowl the currents in the nighttime). Very nearby is Guernsey Lake, part of The Sand Lakes Quiet Area, with waters yielding largemouth bass, yellow perch, bluegills and stocked browns. This is a quality built fishing cabin with an old shed that keeps firewood dry and the canoes out of sight (two Old Town canoes are included … both have seen some water and are true to the paddle and the oar.)
